IBM® SPSS® Campus Edition License Agreement
Software Licensing Services has established an IBM SPSS Campus Edition agreement for the University of Florida. The license coverage period is from December 1st through November 30th of the next year.

The IBM SPSS Campus Edition Agreement establishes use of IBM® SPSS® Statistics Premium licensing that includes:
The The IBM® SPSS® Statistics Premium package can be used at the University of Florida by AUTHORIZED END USERS (full time or part time enrolled student, faculty member or employees) for ACADEMIC USE (action or task directly and solely related to the course material of the ACADEMIC INSTITUTION including research and teaching). Use for University administration and operations is strictly prohibited.
Support Platforms:
The Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating system platforms are supported. However, server based operating systems are not covered.
Home-use:
The current fee structure assesses no fee for Home-Use of the software by faculty. Faculty can request a home use license from their Department Liaisons (Licensing Managers). However, a department license must be in place for a faculty member to acquire an additional home use license.

Fee Structure:
The use of SPSS is based on a set fee for use of one license. Multiple licenses can be purchased. The license fee is not prorated. So, a purchase of the software at any point during the license period will terminate at the end of the current license period.
Network licensing:
Software Licensing Services does NOT lease SPSS Server based software. SPSS provides a metering server application called Sentinel. Departments can acquire a Network license key from Software Licensing Service to meter and limit access to their licenses running on their desktop systems. However, SPSS is internally licensed by Department (not by College) usage. Departments cannot offer SPSS usage to units outside their department. All use of the software must be restricted on a departmental basis. Departments cannot sublease the software to other departments. All departments should acquire licensing from Software Licensing Services.
Authorization for Virtual Computer Lab Use:
Virtualized use of the SPSS software is allowed under the new contract. Departments may allow faculty and students access to SPSS software via their department’s virtual desktops from on or off campus locations. However, the department must possess a SPSS license for each person using the virtual desktop or maintain a SPSS network license server to meter and limit access to the number of licenses acquired by the department.

All orders should be placed with Software Licensing Services' On-line Ordering System: https://billing.at.ufl.edu/sales/
Our system provides a Sales Order and Sales Order Number. An Invoice will be sent to the Customer's department once the order is processed. Our Ordering System allows you to place orders quickly, track the progress of your order, and saves ordering information for later use.
In addition to these functions, you can use our system to review all of your orders and SLS staff can quickly contact you if there is a problem with your order. Please note:
- If your department cannot use UF Chartfields to make payment, please call our Office for special handling of your order.
- Our office cannot accept P-card or Credit Card transactions.
- Only UF staff with authorization to use UF Chartfield information should use this system. Chartfield information will be required to place an order.
- All order forms must be attached to your order.
